Introducing the Vardar North U10 Academy
Vardar North is proud to announce the establishment of the U10 Vardar Academy.
Vardar North has long realized that talented players who are 8 to 10 years old can benefit from a training program designed specifically for their needs. This program should emphasize the players’ technical abilities and implementation of these skills into tactical strategies of the modern game. Beginning in August, 2010, Vardar North will provide these specialized training sessions to those individuals who meet the necessary requirements.
Here are some questions and answers to better clarify the intended goals of this program;
Q: What are the specific areas that the training will focus on?
A: The training sessions will focus on maximizing players’ skills through advanced (for their age) Technical, Tactical, Speed, Agility, and Coordination training. In addition, Vardar trainers will focus on improving players’ discipline, self image, and understanding of the nutritional values in advanced training.
Q: Is this program open to all interested players?
A: No, this program is only available to those talented players who pass the evaluation process. These players must be 8, 9 or 10 years of age and should possess better than average technical skills for their age group. However, we recommend all interested players attend the evaluation sessions. Dates and times will be posted on our web site as each session’s schedule is determined. If you would like to be notified by email when the schedule is posted, send an email to info at Vardar North dot com with “U10 Academy Schedule” in the subject line.
Q: How often do these players practice?
A: Vardar U10 Academy is offered once per week for 1.5 hour per session at STSA.
Q: How ofen will this training be offered?
A: The Vardar U10 Academy is offered in three seasons, fall, winter, & spring.
There will be an evaluation process in the beginning of each season.

A: No. In fact, we encourage all players to stay with their existing teams. Vardar Academy sessions serve as extra sessions for those players who seek a more focused approach to “Advanced Technical and Tactical Training”.
Q: What is the cost per season?
A: The cost per player for the fall of 2010 is $95.00. This price includes the training cost, one t-shirt, one pair of shorts, 1 pair of socks and 9 training sessions. The practice gear will display the Vardar logo and is intended to create a more unified and professional image for all participants.
Q: Do parents have to sign a contract to continue with this program beyond this fall?
A: No, players and parents are free of any and all obligations and may quit the program at any time.
Q: Is it mandatory to attend every session?
A: No. However, the goal of this program is to train the academy athletes in a progressive manner. Therefore, attendance is highly encouraged but not mandatory.
