Drago
Drago Dumbovic
Born in Croatia, Drago began his professional soccer career at age 16 in Yugoslavia. He played professional soccer from 1983 to 1999 for several teams including the Detroit Rockers and Detroit Neon. He was named an all star six times and set several new league records during his playing career. He also won an NPSL Championship with the Detroit Rockers in 1992.
Vardar North was established in the Fall of 2004. Based out of Saginaw, Vardar North teams have already established themselves as winners. All Vardar North teams won their 2004 Division titles in their rookie season. In addition to directing the Vardar North program, Drago is the Head Soccer Coach for both Men’s and Women’s soccer at Saginaw Valley State University and Drago’s Soccer Academy of Excellence located in Midland.
